Segantini - The Bundeschampion
Beautiful, wonderfully constructed uphill and equipped with a lot of natural cadence - Segantini embodies almost the optimum of the ultra-modern dressage horse.
In 2020, he started his career as a premium stallion at the Hanoverian licensing in Verden. This was followed in 2021 by his superior HLP victory in Adelheidsdorf with an overall score of 9.03 (willingness to perform 10). He then went on to become Bundeschampion of four-year-old stallions under Jessica Lynn Thomas/SWE. Segantini was awarded the maximum score of 10 for rideability and 9.0 for all other criteria. A total of 9.2 meant gold, after he had already secured silver at the Hanoverian Championships. In 2022, he was awarded the Weltmeyer Prize by the Hanoverian Verband.
In his very first crop, Segantini consistently produced wonderfully typey foals with great movement, which were highly sought after by talent scouts. His son Segantino was the top-priced foal at the 139th Elite Auction of the Hanoverian Verband.
Segantini is from the first crop of Secret, who went on to become dressage horse Vice World Champion, Bundeschampion and Vice Bundeschampion under Jessica Lynn Thomas. 40 of his sons were licensed. His sporting offspring include the Vice Bundeschampion Sézane, the Vice Bundeschampion and Hanoverian Champion Sedamo K, the Hanoverian Champion So Dynamic, the Vice Champion Special Design, the Austrian Bundeschampion Santa Florentina, the DSP Vice Champion Selected and the Baden-Württemberg State Champion Santana.
Segantini's dam, Financial Time, is a full sister to the licensed and Grand Prix-winning First Step. She also produced the Champion Mare St.Pr.St. Semana by Kükenmoor (by St. Moritz Junior) and the Gelderland Champion Sehnsucht by Kükenmoor (by Savoy).
The pedigree of Segantini includes the Donnerhall grandson Dream of Heidelberg I and the Rubinstein sire Rosenkavalier.
The stallions Rosselini (by Rosenkavalier), Amadeo (by Adlerruf), Ghandi (by Gold Dollar), Grande Gold (by Grande), Chico (by Cacir x) and Pilatus (by Perseus) as well as the three-time European Youth Champion Paso Doble (by Don Primero)/Sanneke Rothenberger also come from the Hanoverian performance line of Kabanus.
