About us

Heinz Ahlers

From very young age Heinz Ahlers was passionate about foals and young dressage horses. In the early eighties, he began to buy the first young horses. Quickly he developed an expert eye on judging and recognizing good foals. In 1986, he decided to buy his first two colts. Success turned quickly. Both foals in this first year received approval for stallion licensing. One of the two stallions was approved and went for a top price to Sissi Max Theurer (Austria). This success was encouraging to pursue.

Partnership with Family Gering

On a foal branding event in 1994, Heinz discovered a colt by Landadel - Seydlitz - Futuro - Makuba xx out of the Edoste damline. For some time he already kept an eye on the Edoste damline because he was convinced of the quality and potential of this breed..

Breeder of the stallion was Willi Gering from Ostercappeln. This way they met each other for the first time and Heinz bought the first foal from of him.

This was the beginning of an continuous working with the family Gering for now almost 20 years. Since this time we got every foal from the family Gering for rearing. This highly successful partnership led  to numerous licensed stallions, Championship participant and lots of highly successful dressage horses.

This first stallion was Landjuwel Gold, our first breeding stallion. Licensed as 1d premium stallion, he was Vice Champion at Federal Championship 1997. Unfortunately Landjuwel Gold died shortly thereafter

Birte Ahlers

His daughter Birte Ahlers (born 1980) grew up with horses from a very young age and got shortly addicted to horses, too. Even as a child she was always at her father's side and went with him to countless foal shows.  This way over the years she developed an expert knowledge on recognizing good foals and special dressage horses.

After leaving school and alongside studying at university the horse thing became more and more the determining part in her working life.

The next milestone followed in 2002. Building the own riding hall and extend the capacity of the stables the course was set to make the hobby into a profession. Birte is even successfully riding to level Prix St. George.
