Besandro Gold wins the Oldenburg Saddle Licensing

Besandro Gold claimed victory at the 15th Oldenburg Saddle Licensing in Vechta, perfectly reflecting the motto “Like father, like son”. His sire Best of Gold had already won this licensing and is now successful at advanced (S***) level.

The dark bay stallion, born in 2023 out of the elite and state premium mare Edwina by Sandro Hit, was bred by Heinz Ahlers from Hatten and impressed throughout the event.

Particularly noteworthy were his rhythm, elasticity and quality of movement. “He always showed excellent rhythm in trot, which continued into the canter,” praised breeding director Peer Eitenmüller.

Besandro Gold also convinced under test riders. Janina Tietze described him as a very pleasant and rideable horse with great sensitivity and rideability.

His outstanding pedigree further underlines his quality: his full brother Bugatti Gold OLD is licensed and already successful at advanced level dressage. Half-brother Bertolli Gold by Bretton Woods is also successful in advanced classes.

His full sisters have been awarded the Oldenburg main premium candidate title, with Edwina Gold OLD becoming reserve champion mare at the elite mare show in Rastede in 2024.

The granddam Elisa, herself an elite and Verband premium mare, produced the Grand Prix successful Bellini Gold as well as two licensed sons, including Special Gold by Sandro Hit, who reached the finals of the Bundeschampionat multiple times.

With Besandro Gold, another highly promising representative of this exceptional dam line is emerging.
